1. Initiation Phase


This is where everything starts. Think of it as the brainstorming session. You’ve got an idea—maybe you want to build a new office building, a house, or even a shopping mall. In this phase, you figure out what the project will look like, what its purpose is, and whether it’s even possible to do it. 4. Monitoring and Control Phase


While the construction is happening, you’re not just sitting back and watching. This phase runs alongside the execution phase and is all about keeping everything on track. You’re constantly checking progress, making sure the project is staying within budget and on schedule, and handling any issues that pop up. For example, if you notice that a certain task is taking longer than expected, you might need to bring in extra workers or find a quicker way to get it done. It’s like steering a ship—you’re always adjusting the course to make sure you reach your destination.


5. Closure Phase

Finally, the project wraps up. The building is completed, and you’re ready to hand over the keys (literally and figuratively). But before you do that, there’s some important housekeeping to do. This includes final inspections to make sure everything meets the required standards, finishing any last-minute tasks, and getting all the paperwork in order. For the house, this means making sure everything is built to code, all utilities are working, and the place is ready to be lived in. Once everything checks out, the project is officially closed, and you can celebrate a job well done.
